Meet Kalli Minor... a beautiful 11 year old tennis champion straight out of COMPTON! You already know about the phenominal tennis champs Serena and Venus Williams… but did you know they grew up in Compton too?? Last week, Mayor Aja Brown and Director Ava DuVernay brought “A Wrinkle In Time“ to the Dollarhide Community Center and Yours Truly was on the scene to capture all the magic! And of course.. Kalli was the at center of media attention with her charm and confidence. Wish I asked her a question of my own… dang it! But I got a few good pics

I actually grew up with friends and family who taught & played some serious tennis… but unfortunately, I never picked it up. Certainly can appreciate the practice & talent that goes into the sport.
