Hollywood Hearts: Up Close with Bobby V & Producer Tangie B. Moore!

ICYMI… Singer /performer Bobby V made his acting debut over the weekend with BET’s NEW hit series “Hollywood Hearts” and yours truly was able to chat with this superstar and Director Tangie B. Moore!

Bobby V, leads the cast in a complicated love story that is all too real to many who come-of-age in the world of entertainment. Hollywood Hearts is about a music artist who’s engrossed with his music industry lifestyle and finds it difficult to give up his ways for the woman that he loves, the life he wants to build and the ego he can’t let go of. However, after a tragic turn of events and real friend interventions, he finds himself realizing that the industry will come and go but true love doesn’t come around but once in a lifetime.

RobinLori:  “Bobby V. you are definitely wearing a different hat this round.  Tell me what you did to prepare for your role.”

Bobby V:  “I actually took acting classes to prepare for this role.  Today’s music & talent is NOT where it was…  even after 5 albums I decided to dig in an area where you have to have to have talent.  So I studied the craft and I’m still taking classes to this day.”

RobinLori: “Miss Tangie… how was it working with BET?”

Tangie B. Moore:  “I’m so grateful for the support of a natural story teller who loves telling OUR story.  We didn’t have a million dollar budget and we STILL set a standard with the best possible quality.”  

RobinLori: What are some of take aways from this movie?

Tangie B. Moore:  “First of all… Bobby V is a serious actor and this is a serious movie.  He did an excellent job working with people we normally see in acting.  We are ALL moving into our goals and would appreciate the support.”

“The other take away is from the story… Love Conquers All.  The movie is deep but funny and it’s multi layered as the character struggles with his love for music and his girl.  It’s totally relatable as he takes her through so much.  But as he’s growing into manhood and figuring things out.  You learn to cherish and protect a good thing.”
