Hooray!! Atlanta’s own Jermaine Dupri has been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame! What a great way to star black history month. He will join Jay-Z as 2 of the only hip hop artist to receive the honor.
Jermaine is a powerhouse in the music industry and is responsible for making hits with mega artist including Mariah Carey, USHER and Kriss Kross. He is also known for his hit TV show The RAP Game which gives five emerging young hip hop artists, ages 12 to 16, the opportunity to rhyme and flow with Dupri as he searches for the next big name in hip hop. The show is co-executive produced by Queen Latifah.
Hall of Fame celebrates and honors the contributions of our great popular music songwriters, while developing new writing talent through workshops, showcases, scholarships, and digital initatives.
Reposting one of my favorite celebrity pics with my boys! Sending a huge congrats to Jermaine… well deserved!!
