2016 “Salute Her” Awards with Loni Love, Kim Fields & More

Last week, the 2016 Salute Her Awards presented by McDonald’s partnered with NCNW Atlanta to honor five trailblazing female entrepreneurs with Kim Fields, Actress/Director/Producer, Deanna Brown Thomas, President of The James Brown Family Children Foundation; Ronnie Tyler, Co-Founder of BlackandMarriedwithKids.com; Shanti Das, Founder/CEO of Press Reset Entertainment; Jasmine Crowe, Chief Change-Maker and Founder of BlackCelebrityGiving.com

Café Mocha, the #1 nationally syndicated radio show for women of colorlaunched its annual Salute Her Awards series in 2011, with the goal of recognizing dynamic Black and Latino women, who have made contributions within their communities and breaking down barriers with their businesses.

In partnership with NCNW Atlanta, McDonalds, TOYOTA Green and ORS Haircare… Café Mocha, kicked off its “2016 Salute Her: Beauty of Diversity Awards” with activities including Loni Love’s Comedy Café Open Mic to celebrate the launch of “Mocha Cares Foundation”.  The mission is to support housing and services to combat homelessness and domestic violence through mentorship programs.

“Launching the Mocha Cares Foundation is our expanding commitment to mentor women in transition around the country. With our continued growth and visibly, we want to use our platform to ‘touch’ our audience with our co-hosts’ initiatives”. – Sheila Eldridge
