My Weekly Round-Up with Gaius Charles of NBC’s TAKEN comes with a bitter sweet for me. I wasn’t able to watch episode 7 “Solo” because I had to make a mad dash to Virginia. My precious mom had stroke and was admitted to the hospital on Monday. I’m sitting in her room as I type and she is making GREAT progress. Thanks so much for your prayers and well wishes 🙂
Gotta stay busy… right? With only 3 episodes left… I was still able to join Gaius this week to get a little inside scoop on the ODNI Team!
Gaius: “There was actually 2 pilots for the show. Our show-runner Alexander Cary is a veteran and basically tells the story through his eyes… the telling of Bryan with the team on a mission… flashbacks on his hostage training. You got to see where he really has to use the techniques & strategies to survive as he gets taken. This “Solo” episode reminded me of the original pilot which is where the show wanted to get us to.”
“Next up is episode 8…LEAH. This is a cool episode because the team has to protect an Israeli intelligence agent on the run… guest starring Ayelet Zurer. We are back to our “taken” roots”.
The ODNI assists an Israeli spy with early onset Alzheimer’s, whose own agency is out to kill her. Christina (Jennifer Beals) worries she may face a similar fate as she is threatened by forces within her own organization, and Bryan’s (Clive Standen) distrust of Asha (Brooklyn Sudano) leads to a painful argument.
Also starring Gaius Charles (John), Michael Irby (Scott), James Landry Hébert (Rem), Simu Liu (Faaron) and Jennifer Marsala (Riley).
Be sure to tune into TAKEN Mondays at 10:00pm/9c on NBC and check out my previous recaps:
